Reliability: The output connections on each Balboa control box are located on the circuit board
as opposed to outside of the box. This placement eliminates a maze of wires and requires only one
connector for each component connected to the main box. Electrical noise filters are installed on
both the hardware and software of the control system to prevent electronic nuisances. Electrical
static discharge (ESD) protection devices are also installed to prevent damage to the circuit board
due to static electricity from a service tech or other source. Also, the sequencing of all device activation
protection is incorporated into each Balboa system to prevent any two components from being
activated at the same time and thus straining the electronics.
