Comfortable Mold Designs:
The design strategy of Villeroy & Boch Spas has been based on a very simple concept – design each spa model based on function, ergonomics and appearance. Many spa brands design their spas to merely look comfortable and others are designed to feel comfortable when sitting in the spa with no water in it. Villeroy & Boch Spas have been designed to feel comfortable
and to be functional while you are using the spa. Even the small details like cup-holders add convenience to the design of each spa.

Open-Seating Design:
Comfort and freedom of motion are characteristic of each of our molds. With the open and simple seating found in each Villeroy & Boch Spa, you can easily move from seat to seat.

JetPak® Interchangeability:
In addition to the overall layout, each Villeroy & Boch Spa model has been designed to allow you to move each JetPak® to any other seat in the spa. As a result, you can have the massage you want, in the seat that’s most comfortable for you! Multi-Level Seating: Each Villeroy & Boch Spa offers multi-level seating to satisfy users of different heights. Whether you are short or tall you’ll enjoy the flexibility built into each Villeroy & Boch Spa.

Multiple Seat Styles:

Captain’s Chair Lounger:
The most popular seat in a Villeroy & Boch Spa is the Captain’s Chair bent-knee lounger. Offered in the 662, 552, 451, and 331 models, the Captain’s Chair lounger provides the following features:

EnergySave™

Conserve and recycle heat for an environmentally responsible spa!

Villeroy & Boch Spas are considered one of the most energy efficient in the industry because of Villeroy & Boch’s unique JetPak® System. Most of the jet plumbing on a Villeroy & Boch Spa is inside the hot water with you. All other spa brands have plumbing underneath the spa that is exposed to cold air. Each Villeroy & Boch Spa is filled with a high-density, closed-cell foam insulation providing the highest insulation factor in the industry. Villeroy & Boch Spas are designed to capture and recycle the hot air generated by the pumps and heater rather than introducing cold, outside air into the spa. All eight models of the Villeroy & Boch Spa line are in compliance with the stringent appliance efficiency regulations of the California Energy Commission.

Diagram of Actual Villeroy & Boch Spa: Heat from the JetPak® plumbing and heat from the equipment are transferred directly into hot spa water via an air intake system, recycling energy. Because of the EnergySave features, the average monthly cost to operate a Villeroy & Boch Spa is approximately $9-21 (based on a seven cent per kilowatt/hr rate).

Diagram of Actual Competitor’s Spa: Heat from plumbing escapes outside into the cold air, wasting energy.

Self-Contained JetPak® Plumbing: The design of the JetPak® technology allows up to 90% of the spa’s plumbing to be inside the hot water with you and not underneath the spa shell as with all competitors’ spas. As a result, the water in your jet plumbing doesn’t lose heat. Contrast Villeroy & Boch’s self-contained plumbing with competitors’ spas, which are built with massive amounts of piping located beneath the spa. Although these spas may be fully insulated, the water that travels through these pipes slowly loses temperature and heat escapes into the atmosphere.

Full-Foam Insulation: Each Villeroy & Boch Spa is fully filled with a high-density, closed-cell foam insulation. This insulation is similar to what is used in commercial freezers, resulting in an R factor of 40. Closed-cell foam limits heat lose for supreme energy efficiency. Another great feature of the full- foam insulation is the construction integrity of the spa – the foam insulation locks in plumbing and shell securely, preventing damage that could occur from shifting, settling and jerking from spa operation or shipment.

Heated Air-Intake System: Optimal jet performance is created when both air and water are used to power the jets. Air-intake is accomplished with a venture system, without moving parts or motors, assuring quiet spa operation. Villeroy & Boch’s jet air-intake system is specifically designed to capture heat generated from the pumps and heater, and is then used to help power the jets. Unlike other spa brands, cold, outside air is not introduced into the spa when you turn on your jets. You save money because Villeroy & Boch Spas recycle this heat, making your spa much more energy efficient.

Insulating Spa Cover: Villeroy & Boch’s insulating rigid covers are 4” thick in the center and taper to 2.5” at the cover’s edge. These covers are built with 1.5 lb. density, closed-cell foam. When these covers are installed, they seal tightly against the lip of the spa like the door of a commercial freezer. Open the cover of an operating spa and you will feel the suction of the cover against the spa. This helps seal in the heat, limits water evaporation and keeps debris and dirt out. Also, each cover is made with a full-length heat seal gasket to prevent heat from escaping through the center seam. Many competing spa covers only provide a heat seal gasket at the outer edges of the center seam.
